All of the music for As Creation Unfolds: Part One was composed and recorded over a period of a few days way back in 2006. Just as I perform my improv currently in the Facebook live stream concerts where I allow whatever melodies to arrive and do my best to keep up, these pieces on this album were created in the same way. There are many layers of instrumentation involved which is the only difference between the pieces here and the concerts in the way they came into existence. Once I had the piece of music recorded with the piano as the base, I would choose instrument samples/sounds that I had available at the time and once again push record, close my eyes and play/record that instrument/voice until the piece was over. I then would go back and pick another instrument, and now I would be hearing the piano plus the other instrument in the mix. I would repeat this process depending on the number of sounds and instruments used for each piece until I had all the different parts going on, weaving in and out of the arrangement and I simply mixed the levels and what you hear is truly a live recording as there was no editing involved minus mixing the instrument volume levels. Part Two & Three were also created/composed in the same way. There are a few times where you may hear mistakes or what you would consider to be wrong notes or guffaws, but I believe that it just gives it extra character and reveals clearly that it is a live performance and mistakes happen in live performance.
